The continuous rise of inflation in Bangladesh is increasing  endless inflictions in the lives of millions of people.Just couple of days ago Bangladesh has celebrated her 40 th Independence Day on 26 March but still the millions of people are badly devastated by severe poverty ; financial emancipation is far away .At present , inflation is the most serious curse in lives of people of Bangladesh .Inflation is going up every day  in a dangerous and alarming rate. The picture of inflation is gruesome ; corruptions in government is the primary cause of this sort of reinless inflation in the economy of Bangladesh .

Indian BFS killed 671 Bangladeshi civilians since 2001

Bangladesh is mostly surrounded by India but the neighbourhood relationship  between India and Bangladesh is not good since the Independence of Bangladesh. Though India had helped and cooperated Bangladesh during the liberation war in 1971 to a large extend . But the situation in India - Bangladesh border has always been in tense with very trivial issues for ages . With the help of Border Security forces of India and Bangladesh , the smugglers are increasing their business day by day in both countries .All the smugglers are crossing the borders every day without any interruptions but whenever poor , innocent people try to cross the border for various reasons , then unfortunately,  they have to lose lives. This is absolute reality in India -Bangladesh borders. Indian Border Security Forces ( BSF) has killed 671 Bangladeshi civilians , while crossing borders or inside of Bangladesh , most of them are very poor and innocent people , living across the borders. This is absolutely brutality and this sort of  barbarian activities must be stopped soon .

Felani's death : extreme brutality of Indian BSF

Felani is a poor and innocent  Bangladeshi girl of 15 years. She did not have a beautiful  and happy life like other teenagers . she was a hard worker and seeking fortunes , going beyond the border of her country Bangladesh; she and her parents did not know one day it would be a curse for her. Her poor father was working in India in brick fields . She was also with her father in India .  Probably her father was trying to fix up her marriage , that is why he was taking her to home country Bangladesh . this unfortunate poor family could not provide enough money to cross the border legally , consequently , they were trying to cross by India - bangladesh border illegally by climbing up wired fence . It was 7th January 2011, early in the morning . She and her beloved family members could not even imagine for a single second , it was the Dooms day for Felani..Her father crossed the border by climbing  up the wired fence , and she was following her father's step, when she was trying to cross the fence , her clothes got tangled with the wired fence and and she started screaming for help , at the same time Indian Border Security Forces started shooting and she was killed mercilessly and brutally straightaway over the wired fence and her dead body was danglying over the fence for long  time.

Felani was not a smuggler or nor a threat to border security forces of India .She did not deserve such sort of punishment merely for border crossing / tress passing. Every day hundreds of people are illegally crossing the India Bangladesh border with smuggled goods .Neither BSF nor BDR shoot them or kill them.Because Border Security Forces of India and bangladesh , both of them take bungs from the smugglers . that is why , they kill innocent people to show their performances.Every year hundreds of innocent Bangladeshi people are being killed by Indian Border Security Forces .This sort of activities are gross violations of human rights and absolute bestial brutalities .

Mohiuddin Ahmed ( Bacchu Mia ) and Aganagar Union Council , Bhairab .

Mohiuddin Ahmed (1920-1985)

Aganagar is one of the Union Councils (Union Parishad) of Bhairab Thana of Kishoreganj district. Most of the villages of this union council are in low-lying areas and during the Rainy season, all of these villages look like tiny islands. The lives around these areas are pretty hard and frequently their lives are affected by different sort of Natural disasters.

Mohiuddin Ahmed ( locally known as Bacchu Mia) was one of the persons, who had spent the most of the time of his life to develop the fates of thousands of  poor,  and uneducated people around his village Aganagar .

He was born in Aganagar in 1920s .He completed his Bachelor of Arts( BA) from Govt.Comilla Victoria college in early 1950s.  He was the first individual who had completed Bachelor Degree at that time in Aganagar and adjacent areas. Even his father Monir Uddin Ahmed had his SSC ( at this time known as Entrance ) in early 1920s ,though Mohiuddin Ahmed lost his father in his childhood but he was strongly motivated by patriotism .

He could have joined in Civil Service , rather joining in any lucrative jobs, he engaged himself in teaching .He started his career  as a lecturer in a college ; later joined in a school as  Headmaster. After working couple of years in schools and colleges, then he got back to his own village Aganagar . He had been elected Chairman of Aganagar Union Council for couple of times until 1971.

During the liberation war of Bangladesh in 1971, he tremendously helped the Freedom fighters by taking the risk of his own life. A  large contingent of freedom fighters used to stay and continue their operations and activities from  his home- compound, even they used  his home  as a reservoir of their arms and ammunitions during the liberation war of 1971 . During the tenure of his chairmanship he tired to develop the communication infrastructure by building up many bridges. He tried couple of times to established a High School in Aganagar but some anti- social , criminal groups vandalised his great projects every time.

He dedicated his whole life for the development of his own society and people . He was  a great patriot and never liked to be exposed. After struggle with cancer for few years ,this great patriot paid the debt of the Nature on 10 th August 1985. May ALLAH ( SWT) rest his soul in the Heaven forever .

16 December , Victory Day of BANGLADESH

Yesterday , Bangladesh celebrated 40th Victory Day, spending millions of BDT( Bangladeshi currency) by  different government organizations or non-government or socio- cultural organizations .But how many people or political leaders or intellectuals have ever highlighted the honest figure of achievements by 39 years.

Bangladesh won a monstrous war by defeating Pakistan within nine months in 1971; millions of innocents people lost their lives, properties, beloved persons .Millions of people sacrificed their everything with a hope of building a beautiful , corruption-free ,  poverty -free and a democratic Bangladesh .But unfortunately after 39 of independence , all the dreams and hopes are getting off now and Bangladesh is heading to a uncertain future with a gigantic burden of huge populations, corruptions at every level of government , unprecedented inflations every year, massive poverty, double-digit unemployment ,nepotism and hooligans at every spheres of the society.

Bangladesh has been branded as the most corrupted country for last couple of years and the police department of the government as the most  corrupted department of the country according to Transparency International( TI) .TI has disclosed this information just couple of days ago. All the governments have been the most powerful tool of corruptions since the independence of 1971. Bangladesh won the liberation war in1971 and very unfortunately Bangladesh lost the against Corruptions because  all the ruling political parties and most of the government organizations have corrupted since the very beginning of the Independence. Due to massive corruptions , poverty - alleviations programs failed absolutely and cosequently  inflation is getting up at an alarming rates .

Millions of people accepted the martyrdom for building up a beautiful Bangladesh , but corruptions, poverty , nepotism is destroying the dream of beautiful Bangladesh every moments.

Bangladesh Railway High School , Bhairab .

Bangladesh Railway High School , Bhairab  is my most favourite school and  is a land of heaps of sweet memories .Heaps of sweet memories are on the pages of this school. Wherever, I go  whether across the Pacific or the Atlantic or across the seven seas , all the while I miss the sweet days of my school .I belong to SSC batch ( Science) -1987  . Bangladesh Railway High School , Bhairab  is not only my most favourite school , it was one of the best schools in Kishoregonj district at that time. My best class friends were Sadik , Mokul , Shahidullah , and I forgot others' names .

There is a big gamut of  many sweet memories around my school -life, but the most melancholic and most horrible day , when the whole  school building and adjacent areas more than one square kilometre collasped and straightaway submerged in the mighty river Meghna , probably due to river-erosion, still the reason is mysterious ( scientifically not proven ) .Unfortunately I forgot the date of this black day and probably it was in 1988 . But still I can remember ; next day, all the daily newspaper published this incident as first page -headline news. What we see  the location of the school today is the new the new location . Still sometimes I can visualise the school premises on the very bank of the Meghna , all our sweet memories over there. The premises of our school where we studied , we spent our days is now the river-bed of the Meghna ! Maybe , there are heaps of  Dolphins, different species of fishes are dwelling over there  !

Australian dollar $AU .

The race between Australian dollar and US dollar has been news head lines for couple of days, because Australian dollar$AU has already reached the parity. Australian currency was first introduced by Prime Minister Andrew Fisher in 1910 and the currency was known as Australian pound consisting of twenty shillings  each consisting of twelve pence. Prior to this, Pound Sterling was being used as currency in Australia.
The Australian dollar was introduced in 1966, by replacing the Australian pound  but also introducing a decimal system. The Australian Prime Minister Robert Menzies wished to name the currency "the Royal", and other names such as "the Austral" and "the Koala" were also proposed.

Each Australian dollar is composed of 100 cents. The smallest coin in current circulation is equal to five cents, the one and two cent coins having been discontinued in 1990-92 and withdrawn from circulation . Australian notes are made of polymer.

                                   April 2001 ,1 $AU = US 47 cents

                October 2010 ,1 $AU = $ US 1.006
