river - meghna

The Meghna is one of the largest rivers of Bangladesh.. Bangladesh is a land of rivers ; more than two hundred rivers are flowing across the land.  The Meghna is my most favourite river . I had spent many beautiful days on the bank of  the Meghna during my schooling at  Bangladesh  Railway High School, bhairab.
I have seen many beautiful rivers across Australia and Bangladesh but the most beautiful and lovely and my most favourite river is Meghna .I will never forget the so many exquisite moments ,  so many lovely evenings ,I had spent on the bank of Meghna .I miss you  so much , I miss the touch of your waters , the gentle breeze of you , the dazzling reflections of thousands of lights on the waves .

rivers and bangladesh

Bangladesh is a land of rivers. More than two hundred rivers have been flowing across the country; The Padma , the Meghna and the Jamuna  are the largest rivers of Bangladesh. . Life  without rivers is beyond imgination .

All the rivers of Bangladesh is heart and soul of the land. Agriculture , economy and life-style of the people depends on the existence of rivers to a large extent  but the plight of these rivers is very poor and devastating ; there are many reasons behind this situation . Most of the rivers are getting dry , losing their own stream-lines . Dishonest land grabbers are illegally occupying the rivers ; neighbouring country India  has been making dams across the big rivers , ignoring international laws ; which has already made dangerous environmental impacts on the rivers and lands of Bangladesh .

Climate change : we must do something right now .

If we love our children , if we love our planet Earth , if we want to stop the extinction of human civilization , then we must do some thing down to earth to stop climate change from right now.
Finally Australian Federal Government's Climate Commission has disclosed the report .The report says that Global warming is real and we are responsible for this.
Chief Commissioner Prof. Tim Flannery  told ABC Radio -
" The planet is warming , that is incontrovertible ."
" All the data points that way, that humans are causing it. Again that is incontrovertible ."
" We are in the middle of an unintentional experiment at the moment , which is changing the way the world works ---- we have to limit the damage ."
Author Prof. Will Steffen said --
" There is no doubt that the climate is changing. The evidence is overwhelming and clear."
